Top Ten Tuesday: Throwback to My Favorites of 2012

September 12, 2017 Top Ten Tuesday 0

TTop Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We’d love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

September 25: Throwback Freebie: Ten Books I Loved During The First Year I Started My Blog

I started my blog because my family and I were reading The Hunger Games. I thought, why not let everyone know how I feel about this book? At the time, a little over five years ago, I thought we would blog together, but sadly my family has left me! It’s ok, we still read together, they just do not have the time to blog! But, I am excited that I started a blog and I have enjoyed it, and reading immensely.

That said, here are my top ten favorites from the year 2012. Not really in any order, other than The Book Thief is my number one of the year. And maybe many years since!

  1. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
  2. Soulless by Gail Carriger
  3. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
  4. Humanas Diabolicus by James Houk
  5. Betwixt by Melissa Pearl
  6. Lisey’s Story by Stephen King
  7. Twenty-eight and a Half Wishes by Denise Grover Swank
  8. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tokien
  9. The Grim Reaper by Steve Alten
  10. The Sundered by Shannon Mayer

On another entirely separate note, I really need to go back to my old reviews and change my graphics. I’m obsessed with spiders and the graphics show that. Sadly, I was glad to get rid of them and change to a more bohemian look, although I do miss them a bit.

What books did you love five years ago? Do you still love them?
