Sunday Post!

September 28, 2014 Sunday Post 13

sunday-post2The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~

~ It’s a chance to share news~

A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

YAY!! It is finally Autumn. I am so excited. I love this weather, which has already dropped to the 60’s in the mornings. This weather for the past week or so has gotten me out of my reading funk!! YAY! Whew… it was tough but I did what most of you said and sort of powered through. I picked up all sorts of books but instead of review books I picked up books that I’ve been wanting to read lately.

The hubby is going to be back this weekend for two days so I think I’m going to cheat and make an apple pie. That man will never eat fruit but if it’s a cider or in pie, he gobbles it up! Funnily he doesn’t do well with cinnamon so I now bake apple pie without but I’ve gotten so used to it that I cannot eat apple pie with it now!

What’s your favorite autumn recipe that you’re dying to cook?

WOW!! All these read a thons coming up!Ho-Ho-Ho Read-A-Thon

I will have no excuse for being behind on my reading projects! Which is really exciting because after all the travelling the hubby is doing he is basically taking two vacations. A really long vacation in November and a short one for the Christmas holidays! He’s even taking off for my birthday at the beginning of next year! (which is great because honestly I may have conniptions if left by myself after I turn 40! ACK!!) So… I’m really excited to read all of this and get all set up for the holidays so I can take a break! WOOT!!

Something I really, really need from Herding Cats & Burning Soup:

The Goal30 days
The basic goal is to get “ahead” in your blog posts.
Creating 30+ additional Pre-Scheduled posts by the end of November.
Super excited for this one!

I’ve never managed to schedule posts…and I never trust that anything will get done without me pulling the strings…LOL.

I don’t bake or cook much, but I’m itching for some pumpkin latte at the neighborhood Barnes & Noble, where today there is a sale…final day.

Enjoy your books! Thanks for visiting my blog.

Yum! Pumpkin Latte… Starbucks does know how to make us addicted! Going to a Starbucks in B&N is like heaven! Enjoy 😀

About Autumn recipes, sigh, I would love to make an easy apple pie or cobbler, but I’m trying not to eat too many pastries. Our family is right now all about cinnamon, caramel and pumpkin flavorings for the Fall…until we’re not, lol. I love to make chili in the cooler weather!

Good luck with all the challenges and readathons you decide to join up with. I’m doing R.I.P. Challenge and Ho Ho Holiday Readathon at the moment, plus my ongoing Foodie Reads Challenge. Kudos to you, Anna, and whoever else can do 30 scheduled posts in November– just wow! I don’t spend long chunks of time of computer so I wouldn’t be able to do that, plus I wouldn’t know what to say to get so many done at the same time 🙂 Best of luck.

Ohh! Foodie Reads Challenge! Chilli too! YUM! That sounds up my alley. I need to check that one out. I know I’ll be doing the Ho Ho Holiday Read a thon. Already got that all set and ready to go with my Christmas reads! I’ll probably do two this October because I just love them but I don’t want to burn out either! Then Dewey’s is on a Saturday but with him traveling I don’t want to spend so much time reading while he is actually here! Should be an interesting month!

As for the scheduling, I think it is going to work out to be one new post scheduled every day. I’m really hoping to do it. Since I found that I’ve been working on future months instead of JUST tomorrow (hahah I’m horrible) and it’s going good so far. Although today I just finished a book that is scheduled for Wednesday. Sigh! Sooner or later I’ll get ahead.

I love apple pie! I’d definitely make one – actually I made one last night. It didn’t use any sugar – just apples, apple juice concentrate, cinnamon and cornstarch. There’s a piece left in the fridge that I was saving for the kids but I think I might go on and eat it come to think of it! The two vacations will be nice. I have dreams about 30 days prescheduled but considering I’m lucky if I have 3 I don’t see 30 happening. Good luck! Hope you get lots of reading done and have a fantastic week!

Thanks for sharing the Wonderfully Wicked Read-a-Thon information! I hope you catch up and that you’re officially our of your slump.! I’ve been in a terrible reading slump myself for awhile and it even started leaking over into a total blog slump, which sucked. I’m still trying to claw my way out.. because I just feel like binge watching on Netflix and not reading.. but at least the blogging slump has sort of gotten better… so hopefully I’ll be in the mood to read soon!

I was having the same problem last night. I tried four different books and then just gave up and watched The Blind Side. Which is fabulous and makes me cry but also puts me in a great mood, so it works! But yeah.. still working on the slump. I think it’s that I’ve read WAY too many zombie books lately. Getting over it.

Hope you get out of yours soon! It’s dreadful for readers to be in a reading slump!

Technically I don’t work but I do try to read almost a book a day and I’m going to school so it’s nice when the Hubby can take off. I plan on doing zilch!! It’ll be great! Snuggling is THE best autumn thing to do! You are right.

Ohhh! Veggie chilli sounds awesome! I completely agree, something about fall just makes everything taste better! It’s supposed to get down to the 70’s down here in the South tomorrow. I can’t wait!
