Sunday Post!

November 8, 2015 Sunday Post 2

sunday-post2The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~

~ It’s a chance to share news~

A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Reading another book that might be a DNF. Sadly, I got it through Audiobookreviewer so I feel like I really should listen to the entire thing so I can review for Paul. It’s horrific. There is a lot of back and forth in the timeline so it’s hard to tell at which portion in the plot I am and the zombies “KNOW” something is off about a kid that they are planning to kill. They just know. There is no rhyme or reason.

Sadly, the narrator is also very staccato. Every other word sounds like it should be the end of a sentence. I only have two more hours left in it so I may power through but the story line is driving me crazy.

Have you guys ever read a book where the plot lines make so little sense that you don’t know how to even write a review? I’m not sure how I’m going to write this one. It isn’t going to be pretty.

On a good note, I made this delicious Spaghetti Alla Puttanesca the other night. I couldn’t find capers at target (sigh!) so I went with green olives instead and it worked beautifully! I would say add in extra artichoke but I’m an artichoke fan. Hubby had a second bowl so I think we found a winner. So easy to do too.

Recipe over at Although I could easily see shrimp or chicken going with this so don’t let the vegan in that address scare you!

I saw The Long Way Down on Audible and immediately told my hubby. It’s written very well and has a really cool, gritty vibe that we are both enjoying. The main character Daniel Faust, is a ton of fun to listen to. This guy is always getting himself into trouble. Apparently this is Urban Fantasy. Might be another genre that I didn’t know I was going to be in love with. Much like when I read my first Dystopian.

Hubby and I geeked out a bit over Daniel Faust and Constantine in our Geek of the Week post.

I do hate them. I feel so bad for the author when that happens. I struggled through this Zombie Cop one and the review was hard to write. Cannot wait to start a new book!
