Shelf Love Challenge 2017March/April 2017: Top books that have been on your shelf the longest that you haven’t read.

In 2014 a friend gave me the Rhiannon Frater series, As the World Dies. Christmas 2015, hubster gave me Discount Armageddon by Seanan Mcguire since Im in love with Mira Grant. This past Christmas he got me the full Game of Thrones collection on both audible and hardback!

These are just the few that I am the most ashamed about. Especially since I got them for Christmas, basically begging for the best book at the time, and then putting them on my shelves and forgetting them. I do plan to read GoT prior to the new season but they’re long so I need to get to it soon!

On a whim I purchased these:

  • Life of Pi
  • A Wee Murder in My Shop
  • The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer
  • Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
  • Anno Dracula
  • Declar by Tim Powers
  • Beautiful Creatures
  • The Signature of All Things
  •  Book of the Living Dead
  • Cosmos
  • Mindsight
  • The Science of the Mind (I’ve had this for years and years)
  • City of Bones
  • A Discovery of Witches & Shadow of Night
  • Prudence

And since I am an Owlcrate lover I also have about 15 from them. They are all lovely and are resting beautifully on my shelves, waiting to be opened!

This list does not seem long but it does not include the boxes that are in the attic. I have a ton of books by fabulous authors up there but I’m trying to keep myself from getting overwhelmed! Not counting the attic books unless by some miracle, I get through all of these!

What’s on your shelf?
