Shelf Control – Alice in Zombieland

September 23, 2015 Blog, Shelf Control 0

shelf-controlA weekly features celebrating unread books on our shelves! Pick a book you own but haven’t read, write a post about it (suggestions: include what it’s about, why you want to read it, and when you got it), and link up.

My Shelf Control picks will be books that I already own — either physical copies from my overflowing shelves, or one of the many unread titles elbowing each other out of the way on my Kindle.

So, although Bookshelf Fantasies is only counting actual books I’m also going to add in any books that I’ve received from authors and Netgalley that need to be read… so, here goes!

Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter

I feel ashamed about this one. I have had this since it came out, Sep 2012! It is sitting and collecting dust. I have been wanting to get AliceinZombielandbyGenaShowalterto it and just have not found the time! Last year I took it with me on vacation and still didn’t read it. I’m a huge fan of everything zombie so there is not even a reason that I haven’t gotten to it.

  • The cover is gorgeous
  • I’ve heard great things
  • I love zombies…

How many more reasons do I need? Sooner or later I’ll sit down and just read it. Finally…

She won’t rest until she’s sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever.

Had anyone told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. But that’s all it takes. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.

Her father was right. The monsters are real.

To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies.
