Cat Thursday– Is it Christmas yet?!

Welcome to the weekly meme hosted by The True Book Addict that celebrates the wonders and sometime hilarity of cats!

Join us by posting a favorite LOL cat pic you may have come across, famous cat art or even share with us pics of your own beloved cat(s). It’s all for the love of kitteh!

I feel as if cats make it their number one priority to mess up a fabulously decorated tree. It’s like an obsession! Who can blame them with all the sparklies, jigglies, thingamajogs, and crinkly things!?

Do your cats tear up your tree or other decorations if you do not celebrate Christmas?

Yes, my cats usually target a few decorations we have from days gone by when the kids were little, of Santas with fuzzy white beards or ones with ribbons, hung on the tree. They love those! We don’t use tinsel on our trees since cats, dogs, and any animals can get it balled up in their throats/intestines and cause major health issues.

But my dogs are guilty of damage too, usually of whacking their tails against the tree which shakes it and makes a few decorations tumble down 🙂 Of course my kids were also guilty of wrecking more than a couple of trees, so I guess the blame should be spread around evenly.

That’s awesome! My pups love to eat cardboard. I don’t know how this started but when I bring in any packages they flip out and just go crazy about tearing that cardboard up. Should be interesting trying to put presents under the tree. Last year they almost ate an ornament I got for the hubby. Funnily it was a dog that barked Merry Christmas when you walked by it. Sigh… kids and animals! All the same terror!

I have the same problem with my dogs! Not sure what it is about tree skirts but they are not allowed in this house! It’s great that they are so good with the tree though. I’m seriously scared to put presents under the tree. I’m sure the dogs will think they are all theirs. And my cat just sits there looking at me like “Really? Why dogs mom? What were you thinking?!” 😉
