Genres: Adult, Erotica
Twenty three year old Xavier is out to prove his independence to his brothers and Momma Joe.
Needing a change Xavier Steel decided to plant his feet in the Jersey sand and start a production company allowing him the ability to re acquaint himself with his true passion in life and make a living doing what he loved, playing and creating music.
Taelyn Patrick is offered an opportunity to make much needed extra money. The hours would be grueling, but she doesn't care. She needs the money to help her fiancé’ Daniel. Daniel and Taelyn had lived together and went to the same college when he was accepted into the medical program at Harvard. Together they made the decision to live separately until Taelyn finished her internship and graduated from college. They had looked at several apartments near Harvard together and fell in love with one. Supporting two households would be a huge financial burden but they knew the apartment would be gone if they waited until she graduated; when they would reunited and again live together.
Taelyn was offered an opportunity she could not afford to turn down. She wasn’t looking forward to helping a spoiled kid start a production company that she was sure would fail. She was less enthusiastic when his mother, her boss, asked that she be available at all times. Josephina explained that she was worried about woman taking advantage of her son financially and damage his kind heart.
Can Xavier curb his sexual appetite and become a responsible young man? Or will he find himself in bed with women who will do whatever they have to for there own financial gain?
Oh my god… I think I just found my book boyfriend! Or one of them because I would be happy to have any of the Steel men.
Ok, so I’m a fan of M.J. Fields, seriously. I love this writing. It is romance but it’s romance at its dirtiest, hardest, do not read this if you can’t handle the heat kind of romance! And it does have some heat! The kind that will singe you if you get too close!
So, the plot is amazing. The story behind this family is fabulous and I’m sad that I didn’t get to read all of the prior books but you really do not need to. Each book is specifically about said brother and although it does also have the other family members, you do not have to know about their backgrounds to appreciate this one.
This plot is about Xavier and his new assistant. I love the heat exchange and the sarcasm these two have. Work relationship is fine as long as there is all that sass to go along with it. And Xavier, wow… the Steel men seem to have really good character arcs (the two I’ve read about so far anyway) and I just could not put this book down! I loved getting to know about his issues and what he was going to do and his aspirations.
I really hope this is not the last Steel novel. I just want more and more of this. At least M. J. Fields has a few other books out there!
My idea of the perfect Taeyln is Emma Stone. She looks like she could have been a woman who grew up kind of geeky, but has now grown into a swan. She’s quite talented and the image of her just kept coming into my head when I read about Taeyln.
This one just sort of hit me. I totally picture Ryan Gosling being that guy that you meet that is just so charming but could have that bite underneath all that fine exterior! Plus this guy is brilliant so I don’t think Harvard would be a stretch for him.
You may have to imagine him playing a bit of a different role since Daniel isn’t really like any of his other characters but I think this is a perfect fit!
The hardest one for me to picture was Xavier and his brothers. I feel like they have to be extraordinarily tough on the outside but super cuddly somewhere deep down inside, in that dark, hidden spot that they have yet to explore.
I kept thinking of Dwayne Johnson cause honestly who doesn’t love that guy, but even as a wrestler I think The Rock was just too cuddly (under all those sexy muscles anyway)! So, my tough guy exterior with a gushy interior, is Gerard Butler.
I just love this guy but the only downside is that he does not have tattoos but I can overlook that.
