Andi Callaway has dreamed of becoming a published author her entire life.
Ford Delaney has always wanted nothing more than to escape his past.
An opportunity of a lifetime. This is what Andi finds when she returns home to Callaway Cove on summer break. A chance to work for her literary idol Ford Delaney is up for grabs, and she’s willing to risk everything—her boyfriend, her best friends, and her education—to get it.
She’s positive this will be the key to reaching her dreams. But the moment she begins working for the reclusive author, Andi realizes there’s more to him than just a name. As attraction builds between Andi and Ford, she begins to discover consequences must come hand-in-hand with something great—which could loosen control over her tightly wound life. And once romantic sparks fly, Andi’s other relationships start to crumble, Ford’s fame comes back to haunt him, and the heat they generate will either forge a powerful, enduring love or threaten everything she holds dear.

This book was filled with drama! So much so that I really felt like I needed some popcorn! I’m not joking. I loved it though. Every page was filled with some kind of drama! Whether it was best friends tearing each other’s hair out and pushing each other into a pool, or men fighting over a girl, these pages were just filled with it! And normally I wouldn’t be into this much drama but it was the sort that kept me wanting to read. You know that kind where you just have to look at the accident even though the whole time you’re hoping that nobody got hurt? Yeah, that kind!
The plot was extraordinary and the characters left me speechless numerous times. The only downside I have is that I wanted a little more background to some of the characters or a little more further in the book but I know there’s going to be a book two so that’s not too much of a downer.
I do seriously think my favorite part was during a restaurant scene where these two guys are fighting over a gal. I’m not saying who does what, I’m just saying, IT WAS EPIC. And I wanted the gal to just run away from both of these idiots. Although I also had my favorite guy, they were just being gorillas pounding their chests and trying to show off for the females… ugh! Neanderthals, I swear!
So, if you can’t tell, I could not put this one down. Totally fantastic, really fast read. Loved the pacing!
