She’s always been on the outside of love, looking in…

After years of struggling to make ends meet, Emma Williams finally lands a job that suits her perfectly—she enjoys her work, likes her new boss, and especially loves knowing her first paycheck is coming just after Christmas. That is, if she lasts that long. Because Logan Crenshaw, the creative force behind the company, doesn’t seem to want her there.

Not being wanted is nothing new for Emma…but she doesn’t know what she’s done to make Logan stalk around the office, growling every command as if her very presence infuriates him. She can’t afford to lose this job, so her plan is to keep her head down and try to avoid any contact with him—no matter how big and sexy and unavoidable he is.

But a Santa hat full of names, an office gift exchange, and one unexpected knock at her door are about to shake up all of her plans…

Warning: This super-hot holiday romance contains Santa hats, red satin blindfolds, and an obsessed alpha male who talks dirty and knows exactly what to do with his big hands. Lots of swearing. No cheating, no cliffhangers.

My thoughts

What’s not to love about an adorable cover, a great synopsis that promises some pretty hot making out, and a story surrounding the magic of Christmas?!

The cover caught my eye which is why I just had to get this. Fortunately it’s currently on Kindle Unlimited! To be honest I did not even fully read the synopsis, I just saw the cute stockings and figured I needed this for my holiday reading!

Emma Williams is the kind of gal that keeps her walls up. She does not trust easily and this is explained more and more as the plot goes on. Logan stalks around the office and every time he looks at her Emma thinks she has done something to piss him off even though she cannot figure out what. The play once these two actually do start to talk is really good and totally believable for who the characters are.

There are a few pluses and minuses though. This is full on romance, very sexy romance too. I’m not too into the way in your face (hahaha literally sometimes) graphic books that go into detail about sex. That said, I am positively SURE that women will flock to this. It’s fun and inventive and adorable, just like those stockings!

But there is a bit of insta-love. It gets better if you keep reading but for quite a bit of the book I had to ignore the fact that these two just met. The insta-love stories turn me off. The stories where the adults are grown up enough to realize they’re in LUST, not love, is perfectly acceptable. So, if you’re like me you may want to overlook some of the frustrating parts.

The plot is pretty good considering insta-love is a big turn off for me. It has that Christmas magic kind of feeling that made me want to keep reading. There are some really steamy parts that I kind of skimmed through but the bulk of the story is good and kept me wanting to turn the pages.

Only downside is Logan’s insistence that he knows things. This plays into the plot though and is worked out very well by the end.

In short: Completely dirty and very fun Christmas read! Not too much sex if you want to skim through but still enough to keep your imagination going!

The Motorcycle Clubs series is for romance readers who want all the heat and emotion, but who don’t have all of the time. At this time, we are only publishing novellas — our intention is to provide readers with short (yet satisfying) MC romances. Sometimes we might continue one couple’s story over several novellas, but each individual novella will have a satisfying romantic resolution. Because they are short, we focus the stories on the eroticism and romance, and will be building the MC worlds as each series progresses.
