I’ve been painting for a little over two years. I’m pretty much self taught, although, I do love Bob Ross and think that his video are absolutely phenomenal and great for practice and probably for veterans alike! I’ve also found quite a bit online and have just taken the techniques I’ve found along with some things I’ve played with and just had fun creating!

The Paintings:

  • Aurulent Hibernation

  • by Christina Torretta
  • Completed: 12/11/13
  • Size: 24x20x2
  • Acrylic on Canvas
  • Took: Multiple weeks, layer upon layer of drying & washes
  • Finished: November 16th, 2013
  • Colors: Titanium White, Gold, Cerulean, & Dioxazine Purple

A gift for my sister in law for Christmas. This is one of my favorites! I had a really hard time to begin with so all of that work helped to created a lot of interesting layers. More info on Aurulent Hibernation.

Thank you so much! I keep meaning to add more and haven’t found the time! I’m normally quite critical about my work so I do not finish painting until I “feel” that the work is done. It’s a fun way to work but drives my hubby crazy! 😉
